First Week of February

Happy February!

The first few days of February have been very busy for Owl and Wallflower...

I've made a small section of hardbound sketchbooks using upcycled vintage book pages as my last few proved so popular! There is a Spring theme for these ones, think wild Violets and nesting birds.

I've also added a few of these very lovely tiny collectable botanical prints to Owl and Wallflowers Etsy store. Which is your favourite? I just love the bluebells in the woodland!

I've started to press spring flowers in my vintage flower press. Hopefully these are the first of many springtime snowdrops. I'm planning on some really lovely snowdrop botanical lockets once these are ready!

I've been getting my pencils and watercolours out again for a little bit of painting, like this peacock butterfly below. This is something I wish to continue throughout February, whenever I get a chance, eventually amassing a small collection of butterfly, wildflower, birds and toadstool illustrations.

I spent a while photographing this Field fern locket, alongside my little green vintage Observers fern guide, ready for adding to Owl and Wallflowers Etsy store.

Botanical Lockets.. Larkspur, Narcissi, Viola, Queen Annes Lace, Potentilla and Marjorie Fair Rose.

Also - New! I have these three pressed flower lockets on a rose gold plated chain.. Queen Anne's Lace, dried Hydrangea and pressed Alchameila Mollis. I just adore rose gold, and may have to make another of these for myself!

Also, I had a mini update midweek with a few vintage Wildflower nature guides. The illustrations are all so beautiful and I will be wrapping up these books ready to send to their new homes tomorrow.

Owl and Wallflower 2018

I've got lots of plans and hopes for 2018, and the direction I want to take Owl and Wallflower in and I thought this would be a good place to share my ideas for the future.

I'm working really hard to try and get a mini vintage book update to Owl and Wallflowers Etsy store every week. I'm spending ages searching in vintage shops & fairs for beautifully illustrated Wildflower, funghi, nature and countryside books to share with you all. Below are a couple of photographs from my most recent mini vintage book update on Friday. Have a look at my shop here.

I also have a small selection of vintage collectable Wildflower cards from the 1930s available, free postage with any other order worldwide. The are so beautiful and detailed for their size and in really remarkable condition for their age!

I've got some more photos from Owl and Wallflowers new botanical collection too..

I've added a few more crystal pendant designs to the shop.

I am now working towards a new crystal range of jewellery hopefully to be released in Spring 2018 with lots of lovely raw gemstones, including sparkly pieces of Aura Quartz, Amethyst slices, Selenite wands and polished quartz in delicate pastel colours. I'm also working on getting my Mermaid collection back in stock including this gold edged real seashells below.

I'm posting regularly over on my Instagram page, sharing updates of new creations, work in progress and sneak peeks. I also plan to post on this blog weekly with lots of lovely photographs and information about upcoming updates. I've applied to a few really wonderful Arts markets for Spring and Summer and will be sharing info on any future events here and over on my Instagram too.

Fairie glen

Lovely woodland walks. Fairie glen and enchanted waterfall. I could just imagine the fairies living under this old tree stump. The forest reminded me of the 1997 film fairytale a true story.
